Chris de Burgh

Description

Chris de Burgh 22.04.2027 Theater 11, Zürich - Only Swiss show - A live event of the highest caliber: Chris de Burgh returns in April 2027 with his new solo tour and will perform on April 22, 2027, at Theater 11 in Zurich. The time is ripe for a new solo tour, where Chris de Burgh will travel through Germany and also make a stop in Switzerland! The reason for his 'comeback' in April 2027 is, as cheesy as it may sound, the mutual love between him and his tens of thousands of fans, as well as his love for the country and its people. Another explanation for why the live perennial is so in demand among his fans is this: Chris de Burgh stands for quality as an entertainer and recording artist, has many of his own hits in the program, and consistently receives very positive reviews for his guest performances. The Westdeutsche Allgemeine analyzed at the time why it was 'an evening full of goosebump moments': 'The pure reduction to the essentials. No elaborate stage show, no huge ensemble – just one artist, his voice, and two instruments. And that’s exactly what worked. Chris de Burgh has shown that real music needs no distractions. Those who were there experienced an evening that one does not forget quickly.' Already in November 2025, the Süddeutsche Zeitung was on the trail of the decades-long unbroken magic of a concert by Chris de Burgh. 'Chris de Burgh is – still – a great songwriter and storyteller. This is shown by his hit parade (from 'Lady in Red' to 'Don’t Pay The Ferryman' to 'Missing You').' An essential part of his 323 original compositions written over more than 50 years, which have been released on 26 albums that have sold more than 45 million copies: 'De Burgh has something to say, you understand every word in the songs.' This also fits with 'Legacy' from the musical 'Robin Hood'. 'It’s a song about heroes like you and me,' he says. 'One voice can’t achieve much, but millions can. We call that democracy.'
