Chilbi Urdorf

Description

The Urdorf Chilbi traditionally takes place every year on the second weekend after the federal day of prayer and has been part of autumn in the Limmattal for more than three decades. For three days, the Chilbi governs the village life of the Urdorf residents and visitors from the surrounding communities. Many Urdorf residents mark this date in their agendas well in advance. A visit to the Zwischenbächen parking lot is simply a must. When the lights of the rides are turned on and the scent of the many offered dishes fills the air, visitors flock in droves. Several village clubs take care of the physical well-being of the Chilbi visitors during the three days. In their tents and huts, they offer dishes such as risotto, pizza, fish, fondue, sliced meat, and rösti, etc. Games for children are also organized, and the Samaritan association runs a flea market. On Sunday, there is a church service and a concert by the Harmonie Urdorf. Additionally, around 25 market vendors set up their stands at the Chilbi. The breathtaking rides and stalls for young and old ensure the perfect mix. The wide range is meant to delight young and old and offer something very special to each of the many thousands of visitors.
