The Queens of Modern Metals The Dutch singer Charlotte Wessels (former Delain) and her band, The Obsession, are returning to the stage with new material and will stop at Papiersaal Zurich on Wednesday, February 10, 2027. As a special guest, Melissa Bonny, known as the frontwoman of Ad Infinitum, will open the evening and provide a powerful start. Fresh from her biggest tour across Europe, where she performed as a special guest of Amaranthe & Epica, she now announces her first headline tour. After 16 years as the defining voice of Delain, Charlotte Wessels embarked on a new chapter in 2020 and has been releasing music under her own name ever since. With her current album The Obsession, she presents the next step in her artistic development. Her previous albums Tales From Six Feet Under Vol. I (2021) and Vol. II (2022), created during the pandemic in her own home studio, impressively demonstrated her ability to connect personal themes with diverse musical influences. For The Obsession, Wessels further deepened her creative vision and, together with her musical companions, crafted a more powerful, varied sound. Rich arrangements, melancholic soundscapes, and compelling lyrics merge into an intense listening experience that unfolds its full effect live. Beyond her solo work, Charlotte Wessels has made a name for herself—whether through collaborations with bands like Epica or Kamelot or through her involvement in the project Phantasma.
