Since their formation in Brisbane, The Amity Affliction has developed into one of the most influential bands in international metalcore. Their music is characterized by deeply personal lyrics that brutally address themes such as loss, mental health, grief, and hope. This uncompromising emotional openness has earned the band a loyal and dedicated fan base worldwide. By the time of their breakthrough album Chasing Ghosts (2012), which debuted at number one on the Australian charts, it was clear that The Amity Affliction was much more than a secret tip. Later releases like Let The Ocean Take Me, Everyone Loves You…Once You Leave Them, and most recently Not Without My Ghosts cemented their status as one of the most important voices in their genre.
