Catherine Tang is a Basel-based pianist, keyboardist, and composer of Serbian-Chinese heritage. After classical piano training, she studied jazz at Jazzcampus Basel, developing a distinctive musical language that moves freely between genres, acoustic piano, and electronics. She is active in the Swiss indie and pop scene and leads her quintet ASRA. Her solo debut Where Do Your Dreams Fly? is a dreamy and immersive exploration of atmosphere, texture, and everyday life. Inspired by her surroundings, the album reflects Catherine’s emotional sensitivity and her desire to let go of self-doubt and external expectations, allowing the music to follow its own path. Recorded in Berlin, it blends intimate piano landscapes with electronic textures and has received international recognition from KEXP, Resonance FM, Electronic Sound Magazine, and Sveriges Radio. Allexa Nava is a Peruvian-born saxophonist, flutist, and composer based in London. She has performed at major UK festivals including Glastonbury, We Out Here, Wilderness, and Brainchild, as well as renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, the Barbican, and Duc des Lombards in Paris. Her reputation as a bandleader and composer has soared following the release of her highly anticipated debut EP, No Language, on the influential Jazz Re:freshed label. The release marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for this emerging talent, whose fresh perspective and technical prowess are ready to breathe new life into the contemporary jazz scene.
