Description

The Codex Buranus, the mysterious collection of medieval songs and dramas from the Benediktbeuern monastery, continues to fascinate people to this day. It became world-famous through Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" (1936). Peter Schindler has set selected texts to new music and given his work "Perpetuum Mobile" a fresh, colorful sound language. The result is an exciting dialog between the Middle Ages and the present, presented as a Swiss premiere. The audience can look forward to powerful choral sounds and rousing, jazzy rhythms. The concert will be performed in Latin and accompanied by an orchestra and renowned soloists. An impressive choral work reimagined.
