Carl Stone is considered a pioneer of computer music and sampling, having used computers for his musical live performances since 1986. Stone has been regularly performing at key venues for experimental music around the world for decades and has also composed music for theater and choreography. In obscure corners of the internet, he is sometimes regarded as the secret inventor of the hyperpop genre due to his occasionally absurd approach to sampling. The evening is complemented by a performance from Lua Junjck, who carries the torch of musical innovation into the next generation and is also celebrated for her unconventional, geeky approach to conventions.
