Description

A dialogue of felt memories while walking to the Burgkirche and viewing the frescoes - Walliser German - playful & folk-like - clarinet and hammered dulcimer in conversation with Rilke's reflections on being and passing - High German - intellectual & contemplative - trumpet and percussion evoked and connected through the sound of the bells. A concert in the "Carillon-Plus" series. The innovative aspect of these projects is the interplay with other instruments or singers. Through a communication system, the performers are connected and can thus make music together. The bell tones are transmitted into the church space using sophisticated technology and mixed with the sounds of the other performers. In this way, the listener is taken into unknown and unheard sound worlds. At the same time, this method showcases, preserves, and further develops inherited cultural heritage. The instrument bell finds a new place in music. An acoustic experience of a special kind!
