The risk of falling is reduced. The rhythmics course improves gait safety and reduces the risk of falling. The social gathering during the subsequent coffee round is the focus. We conduct Café Balance in cooperation with the "Association for Adult and Senior Rhythmics according to Dalcroze" in communities that provide a suitable room with instruments. What is Café Balance? The course teaches the Jaques-Dalcroze rhythmics named after its inventor. The movement exercises adapted to the participants are accompanied live by piano music. They have a positive effect on gait safety and thus reduce the risk of falling. People aged 65 and over can participate. No prior knowledge is required and it is easy to join the class at any time, even if mobility is already limited. Coffee rounds take place after the rhythmics exercises.
