Brienz Lake Run 2026

Description

On October 10 and 11, 2026, the Brienzerseelauf will captivate the region. On Saturday, the 10-kilometer evening run is on the schedule, attracting both serious runners and recreational runners. The course circles Bönigen once. Because of the late start, dusk will soon set in, making the run a special experience. On Sunday, the remaining categories will take place, including the 21-kilometer half marathon starting in Brienz. Transportation to Brienz is by boat. Participants can look forward to a varied course that runs along the picturesque shores of Lake Brienz via Giessbach and Iseltwald to Bönigen, offering both a challenge and breathtaking views. Shorter distances are available for children and teenagers, ranging from 500 to 1,400 meters depending on age category. The Pfüderirennen, designed for the youngest children, covers 200 meters and is the highlight of the entire day. The race starts at 11:30 a. m. and shortly before the first finisher of the main race crosses the finish line. In addition to the athletic competitions, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of culinary delights in the large festival tent. Spectators are cordially invited to cheer on the runners and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
