Ten years after their last album, Breakdown of Sanity returns with a new chapter. On November 6, 2026, the Swiss metalcore band will release their fifth studio album, Reveries. At the same time, the album gives its name to the upcoming REVERIES TOUR 2027. Since their formation in 2007, Breakdown of Sanity has secured a firm place in European metalcore. With albums like Mirrors and especially Perception, the band has gained recognition far beyond the Swiss scene. 2016 saw the release of Coexistence, their last studio album so far. After a multi-year break, Breakdown of Sanity returned in 2020 with new music. From 2024, they also returned to the stage. Much has changed since then. After changes in drums and vocals, the band now presents itself with a new lineup, without losing sight of what has made Breakdown of Sanity for nearly two decades.
Massive breakdowns, melodic guitars, raw emotion, and songs about personal abysses as well as societal issues form the core of the sound on Reveries. In spring 2027, the band will finally bring the new album to European stages. The REVERIES TOUR combines new material with songs that have made Breakdown of Sanity a well-known name in the metalcore scene over the past years.
