Project Idea
With the Breakdown Bash, an annual metal event is to be established in the Schwyz region. The goal is to promote the local music scene, provide a stage for young bands, and bring regionally known acts to the area.
The event aims to become a permanent fixture in the regional cultural calendar and particularly expand the offerings in the field of alternative and heavy music.
Line-up Concept
The program is intentionally mixed:
• 2 well-known metal bands as headliners
• No Less Violent as the local band and organizer
• 1 newcomer band from the region that receives a platform
This ensures that both regional and national metal audiences are addressed while also promoting young talent.
Target Audience
• Adults & young adults
• Metal and rock fans from the Central Switzerland region
• Visitors from the cantons of Schwyz, Zug, Lucerne, and Zurich
• Expected attendance: 150–250 people (During our album launch with support bands, nearly 250 entries were achieved, making this visitor potential realistic.)
Cultural Value
• Promotion of the local and regional metal scene
• A new platform for emerging bands in the metal genre
• Expansion of the cultural offerings in the metal sector
