Description
The unusual yet charming ensemble of violin, clarinet, and piano offers many combination possibilities for performing in pairs or as a trio. Bogdan Dumitrascu, Christian Seibold, and Gerd Jordan present compositions by Johannes Brahms (Hungarian Dances), Béla Bartók (Romanian Folk Dances), Gustav Mahler, Darius Milhaud, Gian Carlo Menotti, and Joseph Horowitz.
Bogdan Dumitrasco, violin, was born in Romania. He is the first violinist of the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg and was a member of the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra.
Christian Seibold, clarinet, joined Hamburg in 1993 as a solo clarinetist of the Philharmonic State Orchestra via the Frankfurt Opera. His passion for opera and singing is complemented by his love for jazz. In 2005, he founded the "Philharmonic Clowns".
Gerd Jordan, piano, is a true all-round talent – he is a cantor and organist, pianist, university lecturer, and musical director of the internationally active show choir "Schola cantorosa".
