BOLSCHOIDONKOSAKENCHOR The powerful choir on Swiss tour The original Bolschoi Don Kosakenchor impresses not only with its enormous talent but also with the Slavic feeling that particularly appeals to the Swiss audience. That is why our tour has already a 30-year tradition in Switzerland. It is the only choir composed exclusively of opera soloists. Professor Petja Houdjakov took over and rebuilt the choir 40 years ago. In some cities, the Kosaken already have many fans and supporters who can almost sing along. The motto/slogan of the conductor Petja Houdjakov is: "We sing for friends, with joy." The repertoire consists of sacred songs, Kosaken, Russian, and Ukrainian folk songs. The choir is accompanied by an accordion – Slavic music at the highest level! The performance of the old chorales is as tradition demands á cappella. The magnificent voices, from the softest pianissimo to the loudest forte, paired with the Slavic feeling, transport the listener to another world.
