Or as they call it: "doom ridden jazz music," "detective jazz," or alternatively "boring instrumental music." We say: no one knows how Bohren & der Club of Gore can build meditative, spherical soundscapes that scrape along the border to complete standstill. Threatening yet full of beauty, tough and full of tension at the same time. On darkened stages, the music is distilled to its absolute essence, no note too many, no distracting stage show, but always with a touch of humor.
