Blind Channel (FI) PAINSTREAM TOUR FINNISH MODERN METAL WITH EXPLOSIVE ENERGY Blind Channel are experienced on big stages. Just a year after their founding, they played at Wacken Open Air in 2014. The Finns gained international attention in 2021 when they represented their home country with "Dark Side" at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in sixth place. This was followed by extensive tours, festival shows, and support slots for bands like Electric Callboy, as well as increasingly larger headline shows. With "Exit Emotions," Blind Channel released their fifth studio album in 2024, pushing their self-proclaimed "Violent Pop" further in a modern, hard direction. In spring 2025, one of the two singers, Joel Hokka, left the band after twelve years together. The remaining members decided to continue as a five-piece and took their time for the next chapter. After about a year and a half, Blind Channel returns with new music and their sixth album "Painstream" (release date 30.10.2026). Hard riffs, shouts, and catchy melodies meet dark atmospheres and electronic elements. Instead of being reduced to the nu-metal revival, the band sounds contemporary. From celebrating the past to modern metal of the present. The title "Painstream" is programmatic. Blind Channel addresses pain on the album, something that connects every person despite all differences. In a world full of uncertainty, conflict, and division, they view this not only from a personal perspective but also from a societal and existential one. The twelve songs tell of growth, self-reflection, and the difficult moments that come with it. It sounds darker than intended. Amid all the pain, the Finns repeatedly find something unexpected: hope.
