It is probably one of the most visionary scientific projects of the 21st century. For five years, 6 scientists live in a hermetically sealed ecosystem – an artificial biosphere built under a glass dome. They test novel life forms for a future of humanity outside planet Earth. It is about groundbreaking insights, prestige, and nothing less than the survival of humanity. Everything seems to be going according to plan. The systems are stable, the measurements perfect. But an unexpected change disrupts the harmony within the biosphere. The entire vision is at risk, the ambitious project threatens to fail.
