Bienne at a Glance – The Interactive Model of the City

Description

The city on a 1:1000 scale Discover Bienne from a new perspective: the interactive model at a 1:1000 scale offers you unprecedented views of the city. What are the most iconic buildings? Where are the vacant lots and meeting zones? Thanks to the interactive module "Where is my house?", you can quickly locate the most secret corners. An experience over 20 square meters. The 20-square-meter wooden and cork model was built in 1970 for the Department of Urban Planning. Since then, it has been stored in an attic and was only visible in parts, depending on the zones under study. Modernized by integrating recent constructions, it is now fully presented to the public at NMB. Over the coming months, the museum will develop new interactive activities to highlight the history and current affairs of the city.
