Description

Feathers flutter, doors creak, dust is stirred up. In the kitchen, the teapot whistles to itself, secrets await discovery up in the attic, and deep down in the cellar, there is a rumbling. And somewhere in between, a chamber choir of carefree houseflies hums. Who lives here? "Bestiarium" examines the house as a living being and as a place of neighborhood. From found objects and the player's body parts, a bestiary awakens from an old transport box: limbs, heads, and bodies appear and transform into curious figures. They hum, squeak, creak, and sing stories about living together in close quarters. A surprising, witty, and poetic piece with tea parties, loop station, and synthesizer. A homage to the house and to those who inhabit it. Annina Mosimann was awarded the June Johnson Newcomer Prize in 2025 for "Bestiarium" and was able to present her piece at the Sélection Suisse en Avignon in 2026.
