Description
Under the banner of Mozart, this event in Lausanne centers around the vibrant dialogue between contemporary creation and Béjart's legacy. Supported by the participation of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne and the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne, who perform on stage with three soloists, these performances acquire a unique musical dimension where dance and live music merge powerfully and emotionally. The evening begins with "Lux Æterna" by Étienne Béchard. In a stage design reminiscent of a train station – a place of transit – the piece captures those floating moments when life paths cross and everything can tip: a departure, a wait, a decision. Driven by the power of Mozart's Requiem, the work explores with great intensity the tensions inherent in us – between stillness and movement. Similarly, "Mozart Tangos" by Maurice Béjart unfolds the full richness of his choreographic style. The purity of pointe work, carried by Mozart's music, dialogues with the sensual power of Argentine tangos, performed by male dancers.
