Description
Under the banner of Mozart, this event in Lausanne centers around the vibrant dialogue between contemporary creation and Béjart's legacy. Featuring the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne and the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne, who perform together with three soloists on stage, these performances gain a unique musical dimension where dance and live music merge powerfully and emotionally. The evening begins with "Lux Æterna" by Étienne Béchard. Set against a stage design reminiscent of a train station—a place of transit—the piece captures those fleeting moments when life paths cross and everything can change: a departure, a wait, a decision. Driven by the power of Mozart's Requiem, the work explores with great intensity the tensions inherent in us—between stillness and movement. Similarly, "Mozart Tangos" by Maurice Béjart unfolds the full richness of his choreographic style. The purity of pointe work, accompanied by Mozart's music, dialogues with the sensual power of Argentine tangos, performed by male dancers.
