«Beethoven und Yusupov» – Symphony Concert

Description

Benjamin Yusupov's solo concerto Nola features unusual flute sounds at its center: bass flute, contrabass flute, and membrane flute open up a fascinating sound world between modern European music and Eastern folk music. The work is dedicated to the Swiss flutist Matthias Ziegler.
The classical contrast is formed by Beethoven's Coriolan Overture and his cheerful, dance-like 8th Symphony. Cast:
