On November 12, 1966, beavers were first reintroduced in the Thurgau region of Switzerland, marking a pioneering conservation project. Wolf-Dieter Burkhard, who was involved in the initial efforts, will share his firsthand experiences through a richly illustrated lecture. Attendees will learn about the beavers' lifestyle, their impact on biodiversity, and the challenges faced during their reintroduction.
