Yet it was a milestone when Márcia Pantera first presented her much more graceful and lascivious interpretation of this dance form on stage in the early 1990s. At the time, neither she, nor the São Paulo drag scene, realised that with this iconic move, she had not only developed her own trademark, but would also inspire imitators and go on to become legendary. This colourful documentary takes us into the São Paulo drag scene and introduces us to one of its most famous representatives – who, incidentally, is no stranger to Hamburg either: Márcia was part of the Pulverfass Cabaret ensemble for a time.
