Description

With "Dämonen," Theater Basel celebrated a huge success: seven young actors rush narratively through their lives across Basel, followed by a camera, while the audience witnesses everything in real-time on a large screen. Together with the three project participants Boris Nikitin (director), Ann Mayer (actor), and Robin Nidecker (camera), we look behind the scenes. We discuss the interface of theater and film, acting in public spaces, and the challenges of this one-shot camera work – including unique cinematic insights. The evening is organized and moderated by Jonas Schaffter, filmmaker and board member of Balimage. Participants and additional information:

The Basler Filmtreff offers an exciting look behind the scenes of the successful play "Dämonen." In a discussion with the project participants, the connection between theater and film as well as the challenges of camera work are discussed.
