Description
What do you feel when you stand in front of a hole in the ice at Schwarzsee, in the middle of winter? How to stay calm when your body only wants to regain warmth? And what can you take from this experience for everyday life? For three days, the winter landscape around Schwarzsee transforms into a training ground to learn how to manage cold consciously. In collaboration with KÄLTENETZWERK, the group approaches this experience step by step: during a cold hike, with breathing and meditation exercises, during the preparation of the ice hole, and finally during a supervised cold bath in the mountain lake. You learn how the body reacts to cold and how breathing, concentration, and targeted warming help manage this intense situation. This weekend is suitable for both people with no cold experience and experienced practitioners and cold professionals. Guides who do not wish to get into the water can also participate. The principle "nobody is obliged – everyone can" allows skipping certain activities and living the weekend at one's own pace. Between cold exposure sessions, Chalet Aurore, located on the edge of Schwarzsee, offers a warm counterbalance: vegetarian communal meals and exchange moments are just as much part of the weekend as free time.
