Description

Doors open: 19:00 Axel Flóvent: 20:00 Axel Flóvent is deeply rooted in the vast landscape of his homeland and combines melancholic indie folk, Nordic sounds, and subtle influences from indie rock, ambient, and electronic music. His sound is often compared to a gentle mix of Bon Iver, Adrianne Lenker, and Bombay Bicycle Club, yet remains unmistakably his own. After years in Reykjavík and time abroad, the Icelandic musician has returned to his home, the northern town of Húsavík. A quiet mission drives his art: to help people feel hope, find themselves again, overcome doubts, and discover beauty in places that feel out of place. This is also reflected in his new EP (release date: 24.4.2026). With 'Fleeting the Shore,' Axel turns even further inward – he records the EP entirely alone in his home in Húsavík, embracing a sense of simplicity. 'Fleeting The Shore' captures the quiet currents of change, self-isolation, and loneliness, encapsulating the feeling of returning to a 'new old' place and being reshaped by it. By developing the songs in the same space where they were written, he creates an unfiltered intimacy, and the music is rooted in the silence of his home.
