With «Ausschweifen», the Ensemble Proton Bern's long-held dream comes true: «The performance of Georg Friedrich Haas’ «Nach-Ruf … ent-gleitend …» in 2013 was an awakening experience for us as an ensemble. The enthusiasm for the world of microtonality captivated us and led us to ever new explorations of the finest pitch nuances. The dream of a work tailored to us by the master has been with us ever since.»
«Ausschweifen» is a full-evening work for an eight-member ensemble, which fully lives up to its title. Haas surpasses the usual dimensions of concert formats, challenges performers to their limits, and offers the audience an intense sensory experience.
The work was created on behalf of the Ensemble Proton Bern in collaboration with the Klangspuren Schwaz Festival and the Muziekgebouw Amsterdam. Participants and additional information:
