Description
Two kindred spirits of contemporary folk music have joined forces to form this highly acclaimed duo: On the one hand, Albin Brun, winner of the 2017 Swiss Music Prize, who has traveled half the world with his music and developed his own unmistakable musical signature over many years, and on the other, Kristina Brunner, who has made a name for herself far and wide with her virtuoso playing on cello and Schwyzerörgeli.
Since 2017, the duo has been developing its idiosyncratic, atmospherically dense sound poetry in a continuous rehearsal process and has given numerous concerts. With their sophisticated original compositions, which always include improvisational excursions, the two create chamber music of magical simplicity. An intimate dialog full of devotion, rousing joy of playing, mischievousness and a great musical openness. Melodious, playful, surprising, highly virtuosic and touching worlds of sound are explored here in a somnambulistic interplay.
On this evening, the author Mariann Bühler will read from one of her books.
