Preservation through preparation An Ark Noah in distress? Who in God's name is supposed to catch the most important radio signal of maritime navigation when no one else is left in this world except the crew itself? When the Swiss patriot Walter Mehring wrote his poem 'Arche Noah S. O. S.' in 1931, he gave this call for help to a dictator drifting at sea. When Christoph Marthaler recalls Mehring's words nearly 100 years later, it is probably because the departure of a new Ark Noah might soon become necessary. But how many tons of food are recommended for storage, which medicines, clothing, and energy sources? Christoph Marthaler and ensemble explore the endless possibilities of preparedness for foreseeable and unexpected emergencies.
