Description

200 years since the statutes approved by the archbishop establishing noble exclusivity. Archbishop Rudolf Jan led the Olomouc archdiocese from 1819 to 1831. Throughout his episcopate, he dedicated himself to the care of the archdiocese and contributed to the flourishing of Olomouc, as much as his health allowed. He paid special attention to the Olomouc Metropolitan Chapter, which had the privilege of electing Olomouc archbishops until 1916. The lecture will commemorate 200 years since the issuance of their new statutes, which, with Rudolf Jan's approval, influenced the form of the metropolitan chapter for a long 170 years.
