Antonio Andrade Quartet: Between the Worlds - Flamenco Meets Escuela Bolera

Description

Antonio Andrade, Guitar
David Bastidas, Vocals
Dance: José Galván, Sara Luque In "Between the Worlds," two great traditions of Spanish dance meet: the Escuela Bolera – an academic school tradition that originated in Spain in the 18th century and, with its precision, clear lines, and the fine dialogue of castanets, embodies a ballet-like movement language – and Flamenco, which, with its grounding, inner passion, and immediacy of the moment, presents a strong contrast to this. At first glance, two seemingly opposing artistic worlds; here the form, there the fire. But on stage, the two traditions open up and merge. They challenge each other, explore spaces together, and ultimately find that common language that only dance can create. Once again, the Antonio Andrade Flamenco Quartet brings a lively dance theater to the stage, which, with guitar, vocals, and a dance duet, transports the audience into Spanish dance culture, telling a special story without words but with a lot of feeling and virtuosic movements. Duration: 80 minutes, plus intermission Tickets: €29
