Description

A nervous state of society before an external invasion, where friendships and family secrets break apart, revealing both the best and the worst in people that had been hidden until then. Andorra is a small peaceful state threatened by a neighboring superpower known for its outright anti-Semitism, persecuting and murdering Jews. The main character, Andri, is an illegitimate son, whom his father claims is a Jewish foundling. Andri identifies with this role and social position, living his life as a Jewish outsider in a Christian society, and nothing changes this, not even the revelation of the truth for his own salvation when the invasion and persecution actually occur.
