After a series of impressive performances, including shows at the London Barbican and Primavera Sound Festival, Lambchop returns to Europe and Great Britain for a new series of intimate concerts, including at the Christianskirche in Hamburg-Altona. Kurt Wagner is once again accompanied by Minneapolis-based musician and producer Andrew Broder, his close collaborator on the current Lambchop albums The Bible and Showtunes. Together, they have developed a live approach that feels relaxed, open, and lively. Songs can change, evolve, and unfold anew from night to night. In this stripped-down setting, Wagner and Broder open up the songs and give them space to develop freely—with influences of electronics and improvisation that shape familiar sounds in new ways. Kurt Wagner's distinctive voice and songwriting are at the center, while Broder's versatile sounds expand the music into new directions. Lambchop has never sounded like this before.
