«Am Sommer erstickt» – Concert Scene for Viola Solo

«Am Sommer erstickt» combines new works by Klaus-Peter Werani for viola and voice and Georges Aperghis for speaker with compositions by Salvatore Sciarrino and Iannis Xenakis.
The French violist Geneviève Strosser and the German composer Klaus-Peter Werani bring together their long-standing engagement with viola, voice, and performative expressions in this program. The focus is on the interplay of instrument, voice, and poetry.
The starting point for the new compositions by Werani and Aperghis is the contemporary poem «Für einen schmerzlichen Takt ineinander» by Nancy Hünger. It provides the poetic impulse for a program in which language and music intertwine in various ways. Participants and additional information:
