AKIRA was born in Zurich, grew up bilingual – his mother from the Romandy, his father from Buenos Aires – and found his way into music at the age of 13. Influenced by Prince, Michael Jackson, and Chet Baker as well as Tango legends like Carlos Gardel and Facundo Cabral, he merges multiple languages and cultures into a unique sound in his songs. After three years with the cult label Live From Earth and five years as an independent artist, AKIRA has gained over 120,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and has collaborated with acts like Zurich jazz duo Okvsho and Berlin DJ star DJ Southstar. Now he presents his new solo album "Niños del Bosque" live on stage – an evening full of musical warmth and cultural diversity.
