She eventually flees from a Georgian village to Vienna. But starting over is difficult: a foreign city, a new language, financial hardships, and the traumas of the past that won’t let her go. As Adelina builds a new life in search of freedom, she remains closely connected to her mother, who is still under threat in their home village and lives in constant fear of attacks. With powerful imagery, the documentary follows Adelina on her search for a sense of belonging and a place in life.
