Description
Young athletes from across the Czech Republic will gather in České Budějovice to compete in fin swimming. This attractive sport combines classic swimming skills with the use of special fins and a snorkel positioned on the forehead, allowing swimmers to move forward continuously and without interruption. As a result, competitors achieve speeds that significantly exceed those of regular swimming. The competition will feature swimmers in various age categories. Some events will be swum with a monofin, where athletes utilize a wave-like movement of the entire body in a dolphin style, while other races will be conducted with two fins using crawl technique. Each variant requires a different approach and allows different swimming skills to shine. The program will also include an open race for the general public on a 50-meter course with fins, where anyone interested can try swimming. The races will culminate in exciting 4 × 100 meter relays with monofins, bringing thrilling team battles and captivating the audience with their dynamism and atmosphere.
