The Swiss Senior Table Tennis Singles Championships are among the most important highlights in the national tournament calendar. At the 41st edition of this competition, around 120 of the best Swiss athletes from the age category 40 and above will compete. Among the participants are numerous top players from the national leagues A and B, guaranteeing high-caliber rallies and sporting dynamics at the top level. The event offers the public the opportunity to experience the fascination of the world's fastest racket sport up close. Table tennis impresses with athleticism, tactical finesse, and ball speeds of up to 180 km/h.
Organized by the Table Tennis Club Bremgarten (TTC Bremgarten), founded in 1975, the club has about 120 members, including around 60 licensed players, and on average over ten championship teams, making it a significant entity in Swiss table tennis. The club's DNA is firmly rooted in sporting ambition: former Swiss champions and youth champions play here alongside regional talents. Currently, the club is represented nationally with two men's teams in the National League C and one women's team in the National League B. A major highlight of the club is also its professional youth department with around 35 young players.
After exactly ten years, TTC Bremgarten is bringing this national showcase of Swiss senior sports back to the Reuss Valley. Besides the sporting competitions and decisions for the Swiss championship titles, the event is also a celebration of community and sporting exchange. A club-owned festival kitchen ensures the well-being of participants and sports enthusiasts alike.
