Description

The Humorfestival, Switzerland's largest comedy and cabaret festival, has been taking place in the snow-covered mountains of Arosa for 35 years. In recent years, the stage at the Arosa Humorfestival has been graced by everyone who is anyone. Well-known artists from Switzerland have included the DivertiMento duo, Schlatter&Frey, Rolf Schmid, Marco Rima, Lapsus, Claudio Zuccolini, Massimo Rocchi and Ursus and Nadeschkin. From abroad, artists such as Josef Hader, Michael Mittermeier, The Mozartgroup, Mike Krüger, Django Asül and Helge Schneider have traveled to Arosa, the former Walser village at the far end of Schanfigg. However, the performances of the largest cultural event in Graubünden do not take place in the well-known tourist resort, but even higher up: in a circus tent erected especially for the festival at the Tschuggenhütte, in the middle of the ski area. As always, not only the big names of the comedy and cabaret scene perform in Arosa, the festival also offers a platform for up-and-coming talent. Visitors can reach the tent on foot instead of taking the cable car, or return to the village on a sledge or skis.
