In 2026, "Les Voix" celebrates 30 years of women's choir singing – an anniversary that looks back on an impressive journey. Founded in 1996 at the Munichstein Music School under the name "Voices," the choir has developed from a school initiative into an independent, renowned formation. Since 2018, the ensemble has performed under the name "Les Voix," captivating audiences with clear, pure voices, a wide-ranging repertoire, and a deep passion for a cappella singing.

The anniversary program combines past and present: each singer presents her favorite piece from her personal connection to the choir – from romantic pieces to Swiss folk songs to international masterpieces. Individual anecdotes reflect the diversity and shared memories of the past three decades.

As a highlight, a new commissioned work by the world-famous composer Ola Gjeilo will be performed: his setting of the poem "She Walks in Beauty" will premiere in Basel in the presence of the composer. Thus, 30 years of tradition are combined with the creativity of one of the most important contemporary composers, making the anniversary a unique musical experience.
