Looking at the band photo, questions arise... Who exactly is Uwe, who is the other guy with the beard, and why is it called "2Mädchen und Uwe"? They are Ingo on bass, Maja on guitar and microphone, and Uwe on drums. The band describes their music as German-language rock, pop, and blues with original lyrics and compositions by frontwoman Maja Borm. Straightforward, relatable, charming, exciting, humorous, lovable, and unpretentious. Vocals, guitar, bass, and drums are sometimes gentle, sometimes really "on the twelve"! The songs shine through the space given to well-thought-out lyrics. Since 2019, you can occasionally listen to the sounds of the trio here and there. In 2023, 2Mädchen und Uwe were voted the most popular (original) Berlin band at the legendary SO36 and took 3rd place in Germany in a European band competition. After a longer creative break, they are back!
