13th Powerboat Meeting / Model Boat Demonstration in Stäfa 2026

Dear friends and supporters of the model boat scene

The demonstration and powerboat meeting of the Model Racing Boats Switzerland Club (MRBS) is taking place for the thirteenth time this year. Therefore, the MRBS invites you to the demonstration at the Badi Stäfa from Friday, October 2nd to Sunday, October 4th, 2026. During this three-day event, numerous drivers from all over Switzerland and nearby abroad will present their self-built models: petrol-powered powerboats – which can be up to 2.4 meters long –, electric, sailing, and so-called functional boats (tankers, tugs, submarines, etc.). Even boats with turbine drives will be on site. While the main focus is on ship models, we also warmly welcome RC vehicles of all kinds and airplanes in the exhibition.

Lovers and model builders of functional boats have a dedicated water basin of 10 x 8 meters available to safely present their boats, i.e., without the risk of waves.

Those who want to take a closer look at the various models have the opportunity to do so at the specially arranged exhibition. Questions are gladly answered by the drivers at any time. Additionally, individual powerboats are regularly presented and explained by the speaker. Highlights promise to be the two-day races with F1 electric boats and petrol-powered monoboats, with qualifications on Saturday and the final on Sunday. Exact driving times will be announced on-site in the program.

The MRBS especially welcomes families to this event. Young visitors can look forward to a bouncy castle (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and face painting (Saturday, 1 to 5 pm). They can also try their hand at model boating during the children's driving sessions held several times daily in the 10 x 8 meter water basin (times announced on-site) with appropriately smaller boats and will be awarded a diploma. This year, we will also hold a large tombola, with proceeds going to the "Stiftung Denk an mich". The foundation supports holidays and leisure activities for people with disabilities.

Food and drink will be provided by the Badi restaurant team.

For drivers:

Overnight accommodation on the site with tents. Overnight stays with caravans and motorhomes outside in front of the Badi on the lawn and gravel area. Arrival possible from Wednesday, September 30, 2025. Electricity, water, toilets, showers available.

Cozy get-togethers on Friday and Saturday evenings.
