1st Lunch Tour with Performance

Description

Tours with Quintus Miller, founding partner, Jean-Luc von Aarburg, partner, and Katrin Gromann, project manager and associate – all from Miller & Maranta. Performance with students of the BA Fashion Design at HGK Basel FHNW as well as program director Prof. Dr. Jörg Wiesel and lecturer Nils Lange. The heavily vegetated roof structure of the Globus renovation by Miller & Maranta extends the department store at Basel's Marktplatz with a hidden rooftop landscape. Visible from the surrounding alleys and squares, it remains inaccessible to most passersby. Above the old town's rooftops, a new open space with greenery and diverse views of the city is emerging. The project combines architecture and landscape on a compact site and adds an additional landscape layer to the historic urban space.
