Description
You will see art historically significant works by Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet or Auguste Renoir, modern artists like Pablo Picasso or Marc Chagall, as well as works of Dutch painting from the 17th century. Over 200 paintings from the Emil Bührle Collection are displayed in a so-called Petersburg Hanging. This presentation style was common in salons and art museums until the end of the 19th century, and Emil Bührle also hung his private collection in this way.
