Description

Jakob Bohnstengel is not only good-looking and universally liked, he is also completely satisfied with himself and his life. One day, while helping his mother at the market, he mocks an elderly customer because of her appearance. But she turns out to be the fairy Kräuterweis. As punishment, she kidnaps Jakob and transforms him into a dwarf with a long nose and a hump. In captivity with her, he learns the art of cooking and meets the talking goose Mimi, with whom he befriends. When they escape, no one recognizes him anymore, not even his own mother.
Disgraced by everyone as ugly, he doesn't know where to go. But due to his excellent cooking skills, he is employed at the duke's court. When he is asked to prepare a special pâté for a mysterious guest, he realizes that the secret ingredient does much more than taste good.
A magical fairy tale about change and self-discovery, seasoned with the realization that things are rarely as they seem.
