Two-part Hedge Maintenance Course

Description

Heckentag Schweiz, together with forester/HF and nature conservation practitioner Jürg Küenzi, offers a two-part training on species identification and proper hedge care. In the first part, you will gain basic knowledge about the history and ecological significance of hedges. You will learn to identify the most common hedge plants and practice this during outdoor exercises. Additionally, the fundamental rules and goals of professional hedge maintenance will be taught. In the second part, you will learn suitable pruning techniques and care measures for different woody plants and discover how to promote ecologically valuable shrubs and sensibly prune fast-growing species.
The course is designed as a comprehensive two-part package. The two parts build on each other and are generally booked together. If there are still places available, the parts can also be attended separately.
