Madelaine Wibom, soprano At the spring lunch concert, we take you to the north to cool down. The sound world of Scandinavia has inspired composers for generations. Edvard Grieg and Jean Sibelius repeatedly drew on folk songs, dances, and traditional melodies from their homeland and created works that are still present today. But where are the roots of this music? Together with the Swedish soprano Madelaine Wibom, a string quartet from the Zuger Sinfonietta presents a program full of Scandinavian folk songs and traditional melodies in artful arrangements for string quartet and voice.
