ZHAW International Business Podium: The World in Turmoil

Many countries in Europe are increasing their investments in security and defense capabilities. Economic resilience, technological independence, and industrial capacities are regaining strategic importance. This shift also affects Switzerland: as a highly developed industrial and technology hub, it is closely integrated into European value chains. At the same time, it relies on reliable access to markets and technologies, as well as secure international supply chains and research networks. Strengthening the domestic innovation base and cross-border collaboration is therefore becoming increasingly important. The 18th edition of the ZHAW International Business Podium is held in cooperation with the Swissmem Association of the Swiss Tech Industry. The public event analyzes these geopolitical dynamics and presents various strategic options. It also addresses the question of what concrete contribution Switzerland can make to the security of the European continent. In the context of this high-profile IB podium, the new MAS in Geopolitics, Strategy and Security will also be introduced for the first time. It is worth visiting the Volkart building in Winterthur.
