The Yaima Music Project is a Cascadian Folktronic duo from Seattle, Washington. After a deeply moving and inspiring concert in Zurich in 2025, YAIMA returns to Zurich on October 10, 2026, for a second time. Consisting of multi-instrumentalist and producer Masaru Higasa and singer Pepper Proud, YAIMA is often described as timeless and distinctive – driven by a harmonious balance of male and female expression. Their melodic soundscapes combine instruments from around the world and are inspired by the majesty of nature. With driving, organic rhythms, intricately woven electronic production, warm, touching vocals, and soul-opening lyrics, they create a space that deeply touches the audience. Their intention is to build a bridge between nature and humans – a broad, conscious experience that supports growth and mindful inner transformation. Over the past five years, YAIMA has touched the hearts of people worldwide with their music. The name YAIMA has two origins: one from the Mapudungun language meaning “that which flows through water,” and the other from the culturally protected district of Yaeyama in Okinawa, Japan. This evening is more than a concert – it is a shared journey. We start at 8:00 PM with a cacao ceremony that creates space for connection, presence, and openness, seamlessly transitioning into the concert. The cacao ceremony is included in the concert ticket. Additionally, earlier in the day, we offer a special immersive experience: a Breathwork session from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM with the renowned teacher Daniel Alan, musically accompanied live by YAIMA – a powerful and transformative journey! www.yaimamusic.com
